Corporations

My chief concern is the choke-hold that big-money interests have on the Federal Government and on our markets.  One outcropping of this is the super-rights held by the larger corporations.

GOALS

  • Corporations are not people, and do not necessarily have all the rights of people.
  • No corporation shall thrive by way of fraud or deceit.  Strict controls and penalties must be developed.
  • No corporation shall be shielded from its responsibility to those it has harmed by  its negligence.
  • Any corporation with a track record of fraud, deceit, or abuse, shall be liquidated and its assets absorbed into the public treasury.  The details of this are are challenging, and are yet to be worked out.
  • No corporation is “too big to fail”.  No grant shall be made by the Government to any corporation for any purpose.  Nor any loan from the Government.
  • No corporation may communicate with any member or officer of the Federal Government, except through its own Chief Executive Officer.  All such communications must be a matter of public record, and must be examinable by the public, except where legitimately protected on grounds of necessary secrecy for the cause of national security.  (These rules will be created reasonably.)
  • No corporation shall contribute funds to any political campaign, nor to any politician, nor to any other political organization, however organized.  This prohibition includes corporations of any type and size, including political parties, regardless of the type of their organization.
